Its perfect for the narrow side closet but by adding sections you can cover as much length as you need. Its a great fit for the closet and, because of its construction, it also works great at the cabin... behind the door, on the porch or where ever you don't need guns stacked on top of each other either at lunchtime or day after day. 
The rack is 1" thick Appalachian White Oak. It is solid White Oak, not plywood or laminated wood and its as solid as the day is long... It has a lap edge, blind finish nailed & all mating surfaces are joined with waterproof glue. So if you happen to use part of it as a shelf its good to go. It's got good thick separators that won't break off with normal use. It comes unfinished so you can stain, paint, seal it as you see fit.  It alsocomes to you ready to mount.... with screws, drywall anchors, plug buttons and black adhesive back felt strips for the barrel pockets to apply after finishing. This rack holds 6 but we also have many other sizes available in our other listings. If we don't have the one you need listed contact us.
